Gencon 2002 ! Adlon's photo chronicle, and report.
I've taken alot of pictures while at GenCon. The amount of pictures do NOT do the convention justice.
There was SO much more to see, and I DID want to have SOME time to do other things, which I did. Hopefully, these
pictures relate a good bit of what you might have missed, what you look like to others :), put a face with a voice or product line,
or what you can expect
next year, in Indianapolis.
Pictures are BIG, in 1024 x 768 resolution. You can view the thumbs, or click through to the bigger photo.
There are several people whose names I did NOT get. My apologies, as you view these pics, and notice that I did
not recall your name. If you so choose, email me and I will edit your name in ASAP. I just met SO many people, alot of you
got lost in my brain :)

The scene as we were just landing in Milwaukee. You can see the lake in the distance.

The main entry to the Exhibition Room. The glowing white wall is the WotC CASTLE.

Peter Adkison, the Grand Poobah of GenCon, seated with blond hair, getting ready to get the celebrity boxing going.

The ring, at left. Unfortunately, I didn't stay for the boxing matches. Had other places to be...
The crowd awaits the impending clash of the celebrity titans on the right...

The gaming room. Wall to wall tables, all filled to capacity. Name a table top game, it was played here.

The guys from GRIP, the Traveller d20 guys, at left. We have Hunter Gordon on the left, and Bruce Runnels on the right. BIG thanks to these guys for letting me and Morrus at their internet connection!
On the right, Matt Sprange, of Mongoose Publishing, about to handle a game balance question :) With him is Alejandro Melchor, to the right of Matt.

Two shots of the Bastion Press booth. Jim Butler is the guy DIRECTLY behind the mountain of Oathbound hardbacks, in the left picture.
Hal Greenberg of Mystic Eye Games is showing off said Oathbound. On the right, Jim butler, and parts of other people :)

At left, Margaret Weis. A totally nice lady. On the right, more of the Soverign Press people. The guy on the right
is Chris Coyle, who visits Mortality as of late. To his right is Jamie Chambers.

The infamous d20 Smackdown. This was a game written by Mongoose Publishing, just for GenCon.
There are a few names I can't remember, but, I'll TRY to make sense of who's who:
From the guy in the center, green shirt, who happens to be Alex Fennell, the game master for the Smackdown, of Mongoose- clockwise: Anthony Valterra, of WotC,
Marcio Fiorito, Curtis of MeG/THG, to the seated folks in FRONT of Curtis: Matt Sprange, Alejandro Melchor, Hal Greenberg. Standing in the right foreground:
Andrew Thompson, of MeG/THG, seated in foreground: Doug Herring, of MeG, Jim Govreau, of MeG/THG, Jeff Colledge, of Bard's Productions,
standing left foreground leaning over a chair is Bob Greenwald of Bard's Productions, the lady who looks taller than Bob with short hair and glasses
is Denise Robinson, of Ambient Inc. Standing in left background, in green shirt, is Greg Dent, of Bastion Press.
Peering over a shoulder in the left rear is Jim Butler. Seated, on the left rear side,
giving the thumbs up, is Todd Morasch, of Bastion Press, probably one of my most favorite people I met at GencCon.
Standing behind Todd Morasch is Wil Upchurch, of FFG. Cut partially off the picture on the right side, is Josh Rensch (Shouit) who also
shared his hotel room with me. Thanks Josh, and Melissa.
The children belong to Denise Robinson, and are two very cute kids, and are Genevieve Robinson (age 11) and Chrystine Robinson (age
7), authors of the Kid's Colouring Book.
Oh, Mongoose Publishing won the smackdown. Go figure :)
