d20 cyberpunk
It's been a while since the announcement of this producct. I have some questions about it.
When's the release date?
Will it cover genetech/bioware style tech?
How is rigger and decker handled? (pardon me for using SR terms )
Is it possible to see a list of core/adv/Prcs?
What's the actual name? D20 cyberpunk?
What is the setting like?
Thanks

Well, the Mongoose realease list has it down for October, though nothing more definate than that.
As for the name, it's down as 'D20 CyberNet - Cyberpunk Roleplaying' which is better than the name on the first October release schedual that I saw a month or so ago.
The rest will have to come form someone more invovled with the project, rather than from a look at the site.

Hi guys,
D20 CyberNet is the first in a new range of complete rulebooks from Mongoose Publishing. As well as this, we are also working on D20 Ancients, D20 Horror, D20 Steampunk and several others. The intention is to give you a complete set of rules specifically tied into a single setting (much in the same way as D20 Modern and D20 Future do/will).
I have seen some of the preliminary artwork for this book, and it is fairly stunning - I'll do a preview as soon as I can!

I'm looking forward to the Steampunk setting... I think that will be great for League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Now the Ancients book sounds interesting. Don't suppose there's any preliminary release date marked on the calendar is there?

I want to know a little more about Cybernet. Is it D20 Modern or is it using D&D aspect/elements or its own rules and story like Slane and Judge Dredd?

I'll be happy to help you out there, Technowraith. Cybernet is a complete rule book encompassing many of the basic concepts of d20 Modern with a cybernetic, futuristic spin on things. The book should be a great addition to the genre, bringing cyber-systems, big guns, bigger vehicles, and classic concepts such as cyber-disorders and designer drugs into the roleplaying arena.
I hope you enjoy it when it's released. I'll gladly answer any specific questions you might have, assuming they are ones I can field without revealing too much of the finished product.

D20 Ancients will cover, well, ancient cultures of the world (greeks, egyptians, etc). We are going to allow two methods of play with this book - 'solid' and true history, and fantastic (fighting the hydra, coping with the gods, and dealing with primitive magicks).

Ok is it similar to Cyberpunk 2020 or different/you own material? What class or character types are in the book? Is Cybernet more modern or set in the future, curious.

Ahh... This is one I've been waiting for
Well the Horror one, too....
Since these seem to be just genre books and not setting books(or am I wrong) will ther be a section on using them together, in a sort of SR type setting, or will each have their own setting book too?

As Matt said near the start of this thread, when he gave us the little list, these are setting books, rather than genre books. You should still be able to use them together, as they're all D20, it all depends on what changes are made to the rules in the books themselves.

It will be similar in scope and style to CP 2020, but with a d20 spin. It is set in a near-future, just like that game and the various literary sources that it was based on.
As for character types and more detailed information, you'll have to wait for us to post up a preview. I can tell you that if it is a classic genre type, there will be at least one analog in the new book. You don't have to worry about being able to play net-hackers or cyber-soldiers...
